Wesnapp's '00 200 Osprey...
« on: April 07, 2012, 04:29:59 PM »
...has arrived at the house.  Great meeting Wes, really cool dude, his boat is a beaut, I'm sure I saw here roll down the line 12 years ago.  She'll need a bit of work, we'll see what we can do...

Beautiful panel from Scott Cambra, but I'll have to modify it a smidge...wait, no I won't!!  YooHoo!  Just remembered SPDT switches aren't any wider than SPST switches.  Wes, we can do the Nav/Anc light switch with a SPDT switch and a diode...

But first, to get the boat a little more forward on the trailer.  I was in the back end, Wes leaned on the boat...wish I had a pic!

More to come...

CJ,
You want a straight on shot of the side?  I would bet it is almost identical, the 200 never really changed, except for some interior stuff...

Wes,
If I can get that Power Pole pump into the console and have it accessable, I'll do it.  But I ain't promising anything... :thumright:

Seabob4 just returned my boat and what an awesome job he did!  Thought I would share because I think he did such a GREAT job!:)

BOB ROCKS!

Bob was able to get both the Powerpole pump and Jack plate pump moved into the CC and out of the aft access compartment.

The cylinder you see in front of the jack plate pump is the Power-Pole wave actuator that maintains pressure on the anchor so one does not lose their place due to a wake.

Because of the mass confusion of the four batteries and oil tank in the CC, Bob moved my two TM batteries to the forward compartment.

Bob also added a single inlet for the two battery chargers and a quick connect for the Washdown pump.

You may have noticed a Y-Valve coming off the washdown pump.  Well that valve directs water either to the forward livewell or the washdown attachment.   Here is the Push/Pull cable that diverts the valve.

And finally, the under gunnel LEDs and Underwater LEDS all from Coastal Night Lights/ScarabChris and Installed by Seabob4.

Many thanks to Seabob4 for a GREAT job.  There is almost no room within that CC and you somehow made it all work!  Genius!   I hope you don’t mind my bragging about you and the job you did.;)

I fell this might be a touchy subject, but where did you get your livewell/ leaning post??

Very touchy subject!!!  There is a few very long threads about the entire experience on here and THT.

If I were to do it again, I would contact Group_W_Bench (Eugene).  Have him build one for you and ship it up.  He already has a great mold and will be able to customize as you need.  Wether it is placement of holes or rigging the entire thing and shipping it with the pumps, hoses, etc....

Things I love about my livewell:

1.  Manifold goes from bottom to top feed by a 1100 pump.  VERY large overflow up top with a large basket type screen to allow for larger scales to pass through as well as areas for crabs to hold on to easily.

2. Window allows for natural light to hit the bait.  They seem to like it (they whisper it to me) and the bait actually gets lighter the longer they are in the direct sunlight - it gets the predatory's fish attention.

3.  Blue LEDs makes it easier to see at night.

4.  I had a custom extra thick top made so it is a lean post and seat and strong enough to support my 220#s of rompin stompin Wes.

5.  Two rod holders installed on either side of window of livewell.

Things I hate about my livewell:

1.  They never built in or rigged it for an aerating recirculating pump.  So I am having to do a wacky retro-fit on a brand new well.

2.  End of day drain is WAY to small and has a terribly small screening - it clogs so easily and drains so slow.

3.  When you look inside the rim, they just globbed on a ton of 5200 to seal it off.  Nobody would notice it unless you were looking for it - but knowing that it is there irks me.

4.  The Latch to keep the top closed is a cheap plastic swivel that will probably fail in a year

5.  Every time I look at it, I think about what I went through to get it and my boat and how much it cost me in aggrevation, time, and money.  That shall pass over time though.
