Hey Guys,
Capt. Jarvis here
http://www.SaltWaterSniper.com
Just wanted to share my project with other AquaSport Fans.
This picture is how I it bought and after an intense clean-up.
This is what it looks like now after 100's of hours of work and alot of money. 2 years later
Looking for a dive platform to complete the project.

I didnt have to redo the floor, just mainly cosmetic, electric was all redone, I got a good deal on that E-tec. I found the T-Top on Craigslist it came off a 33' Avanti LOL but it measured up good just some welding to attach to the center console. Gel coat exterior, Awlgrip top side. It came with that motor bracket shown. I want to change it out for a swim platform. Things still to come a new touchscreen Garmin GPS probably 740s,& I have a baitwell I have to install on it.
Whats the dusky question I dont understand?
Compared to most other boats ive been on this 78' 222 is solid, takes waves amazingly. I go out in any weather, but a hurricane..only because It always works out like that on my days off. Ive taken it to the dry tortugas for the day, all the way out to almost Cuba..
rides strong.

probably a dusky drive. not sure thats the way i bought the boat. I would like to switch it out for a full length fiberglass Dive platform. to give it a slicker look.

any experts out there that can tell me the exact model of my hull, whether it is a 222CC, 222Cp,222DPV?
I know its a 1978 center console, but thats about it.
weight? any other info would help also.
Also correction to my previous post. I would like to get an Aluminum dive platform/ bracket to replace that Dusky Drive .
thanks.

Center Console Professional (CCP)
Only thing we haven't seen is the inside. Does it have a large "coffin" in front of the console?

Nice looking rig :!: As stated above you have the 22-2 CCP. The 1978 should have come standard with the coffin box. Look here and this will give you some further specs. This is off the 1980 brochure.

Is the boat wet at all in a chop? And how does it run with the 250? Looks good though!

What do you consider a chop?
2'-3' beam seas or a quartering wind...
Oh yes, Aquas are wet.

The coffin outline was there. but i guess the original owner took it out.
Thanks for the info.
the 250 is a little heavy, but pushes her hard. compared to other 22' this boat takes waves pretty good, no complaints.
the inside still needs a little bit of cosmetic work but looks ok to go fish. Ill post some pictures of the inside this week.
THANK again

Looks like the original console, but I can't tell much from the pics. Your '78 would be essentially like my 1980 model. There were very few changes until the 1981 model year (which came out in late 1980). The biggest changes for 1981 were a smaller spashwell and a re-designed console. The boat was built to handle twin 140s, so the weight of a single 250 should not be a problem. My boat is more-or-less original if you want to see some pics and compare:

Your boat looks super clean on the inside,
Is that the Original door/hatch up front? Mine had a black plexiglass door which broke off.
Thanks for the help
