Figured i would thow this up for you guys.. dont know if yall seen it but it looks cool.. there are a few drawbacks to it.. one for me is the price 2k$ for just this tranducer is kinda nuts.. anywho heres some links  :lol:

My Dad is a humminbird fan and that thing has him all worked up, I'm sure he will have one sooner or later  :shock:

i wouldnt doubt it.. but you know someone will come out with a better salt water application.. but the technology is there... baby steps

I'm sure it would work in salt water.  Humminbird does not ignore the salt water folks - their stuff is usually salt water ready.  I'm running one of their side-scan units now and find it works great on finding structure like artificial reefs and rockpiles.

I run a side scan hummingbird on my buddies boat, salt water got the better of it in less than 2 years.
I love the features it offers though
