Online Shopping for Gauge Sets
« on: March 29, 2012, 08:14:07 PM »
I have been searching online for gauge sets and trying to find the best price.

I like the Faria white w/ss ring or the Teleflex Lido.

What online stores have the best prices..??

Kieth,
Where have you looked, and what are the prices you've seen?  Keep in mind, what you REALLY need for a single O/B is tach, fuel, water pressure, and voltmeter.  Trim is useless, need to know where the motor is?  Turn around.  Speedo?  We all use GPS these days.  Water temp you may want to consider.  An hour meter?  You only need that info for maintainance intervals.

So, you are looking at 4 gauges.  Here's what boatersland.com has, in the Faria Chesapeke White...http://www.boatersland.com/farcheswhss.html

May want to check on ebay...

Thank you,

Yes Boatersland does have very good prices. I have never purchased from them before.

Because I'll probably sell the boat (I have enough) I will put;

Speed
Tach
Fuel
Volt
Temp

Having the (2) 3 1/2" Gauges actually balances out the layout. I will post pics when I'm done. The entire console will be able to place and remove without cutting any wires.

Thanks Again Mr. Bob

Kieth,
I buy from them a lot, ESPECIALLY shift/throttle cables and steering cables.  They never let me down...

Ditto - skip the speedo and go with water pressure.  :thumleft:

ive actually in the same boat(no pun intended), only difference is you have a brand in mind.. i know their not fiera but heres the teleflex gauges ive been looking at..

http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/us ... ies+Gauges
teleflex sahara gauges
68.35 tach
29.99 temp
24.96 gas
123.30 total + ship

and then the water pressure gauge kit is $53.09

one thing about great lakes skipper. call them to order.. tell them everything you want and then ask for a better price.. i got a poly tank the was listed 119.99 plus 60 something shipping for 152.99.. now i know its not alot but every little bit help as gas is getting up to 4$ a gallon....

CJ,
You gonna get a voltmeter, or let your MFD show you voltage?
