Looked at your pic in your gallery. For now I would try the glass in that area and see if it still spreads. If you go on the Mako site wildman had a 25 mako that had a crack like that that suddenly split open and he ended up driving it onto the beach to keep from sinking totally. Yes the stringers are different but still the same forces acting on them. My first attempt at posting a pic from someone else's gallery!

And it worked!!!!!! Dang this sure is easier!!!

Ground out the crack; not a big deal. It's an old war wound. Having trouble posting from the photo gallery to show the photo. You can still see a faint line but you cannot feel it with your fingernail or a pick. The story goes that she ran up on a piling prior to '84 before the last PO bought her. You can see the trail of tears on the bottom leading up to this area. The hull was never penetrated just did some bouncing (low speed impact) and gouging along the way. The repairs weren't pretty; kind of looks a the 4th runner up in a 3rd grade Marine Tex finger painting contest! So I'll finish grinding the area back, mix up some resin, mat and re-gelcoat and keep an eye on the area.

Fitz, check out the new instructions I put in the "Posting pictures in your topics" - look for the pictorial.
That's good news that it was only surface damage.
