Storage under the seat as a cooler?

If you lift the hatch where the seat is on the front of the cc I have a storage compartment that looks like it could be used as a cooler.  Just curious to see if anyone has used this as a cooler.  If so, where would be a good place to route a drain hose?  Thanks,

I turned that compartment into a livewell with a recirculating pump.  I placed the drain in the starboard back corner, thru a piece of hose, and out of the console to the deck by a thru hull on the side of the console.  There is not a lot of  "fall" in the hose, so it drains slowly in the end.   I don´t mind as I usually drain it at the end of the day, when the boat is going to bed......
I don´t think it will serve as a cooler as it is not adequately insulated.  Ice won´t last very long unless you fill the space around it with some kind of foam......

It would be quite easy to do, make a fiberglass box inside the seat, with about 2 inch of room (2 inch smaller than the inside of the seat.) Don't forget to install your drain You need this space on all sides. Make 2 inch spacers to keep the inner box centered (remember also the bottom needs this void) Once well spaced, pour in 2 lbs foam, when it cured, trim the edges, put some fiberglass mat over the edges, sand and paint. Done
