Picked this up at the boat show,$249 and a $50 rebate so $199.Compared it to the Mcmurdo PLB,basicly do the same thing,serve as a hand held epirp,the diff was that the ACR floats,has more transmit power,place to attach lanyard.It was nice being able to talk to reps from both companies to help make a choice.Good safety device to have if you venture offshore,can also be used on land,great for hunters,hikers.Hope I never need it.
