2003 or newer 215 DC Osprey Sport windshield question
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:47:26 PM »
From 2003 onwards the 215 DC Osprey Sport has the curved windshield. When I bought my 2004 last year, the windshield center piece glass was broken, so I just have the 4 pieces of aluminum frame. I think I have it back together correctly (without glass for now), but there is a curve in the top and bottom pieces. When it's open, the frame seems to match the curve of the windshield it lays against, but when it's closed and latched it doesn't look right. It looks like it should be straight. I've looked at pics of boats for sale, but just have not got a clear open and closed pic to compare. Any pics, descriptions, or input would be appreciated.

I hadn't seen that one. Mine looks like it has more of a curve/bow to the top and bottom frame. My boat was bought by a guy at an insurance auction about 5 years ago and I bought it from him a year ago. I suppose it could be a possibility that it doesn't go with the boat, but it does seem to fit height and width and except for the missing glass, it's not damaged. The boat is wrapped right now, so no pics to offer. I'm working on a few cosmetic issues including this one before the summer.
