North Rip makes some pretty boats.  We know the northern boat building brethren make some beauty boats (down eaters, Persons, the Michigan builders, the PNW builders), boat building is certainly not limited to the south, be it the US or Europe.

Matt, you really don't like Etecs, do you?

Looks kinda like the Mosley SeaCraft

That bow flare is nice, but a dry ride really depends more on a "hard chine"

Looks kind of like a Wanchese Carolina boat... I like the reverse chine too.

Good looking ride.

Edit: Woops, meant tumblehome.

Yep...a Seacraft in name only. BP destroyed "Nothing rides like a Seacraft"

And that's the truth...would run circles around our boats in a head sea.

I just saw a Bass Pro add for a new Mako that looks like a Carolina Skiff Cat in the 16ft range for $12K new, BP must have just about worn out the Mako name too.

Yeah the new Mako little boats are just glorified Kenners.
But I don't think you guys know about the boat Jessie posted. It is a 1964 Moesly Seacraft. It is one of only 5 that were ever built. the hull was built with one thing in mind, open ocean long distance racing. The hulls were built to race in the Miami to Nassau race, which they won three times in a row. It might not be the prettiest thing (except in my eyes) but it is a runner and it is the greatgrandfather to most deep V hulls of today. This boat in its day caused more interest in boating in general and led to the popularity of boating for the public. Which led to the popularity of US citizens taking trips to the Bahamas, which led to a need at the time for a open fishing boat at the Chub Cay Club in 1965. This hull was of course built by C&S and became the flatback we all know. My .02.

Some more pics "enjoy" !

I'm a little confused by those strakes - seems like they are reversed.  Maybe an optical allusion?

The black paint is confusing to me. One thing I'm not confused about...I'm with Matt....that boat is coyote ugly.

Reminds me of a boat that used to be made up here....I'll dig up a pic.

They aren't really strakes. They are actually steps, built along the length of the hull. All seacrafts have the longitudinal step bottom. Its strange because the bottom running surface is actually larger than the next step.  Makes the hull itself act like a strake to create lift, sort of like a pad would do on a performance boat.

I thought coyote-ugly was good?
