It's funny how big groups of people choose to behave - or not.  The Lone Star Rally in Galveston (this year was the 10th anniversary) attracted about 30,000 motorcycles this year, and the associated crowd...it's the largest free rally in the US.  It was pretty much like Mardi Gras - open alchyhol, streets closed, every available officer on duty, etc, but we didn't see one arrest, even with the Bandidos, Rough Riders, etc. in attendance.  Of course there's a difference between jacking around in a boat with 600 hp on the back and no brakes, vs. standing around staring at hooters and $40,000 choppers (or, staring at choppers, and $40,000 hooters....I always get that confused).

Anyway, Wikipedia said Tampa made 400 arrests - for DnD and LOITERING.  Isn't "loitering" sorta the point?

"Sir...you're loitering."
"I'm watching the parade!"
"Well, you can't loiter while you watch it.  We're takin' you downtown."
"But...we ARE downtown!"

Whitetrash Bash is by far one of the funnest things I've ever been too. It's funny because there is almost an imaginary line about 200 yards off the beach where the law will just sit and wait for a boat to idle away from the island and pull them over.
Aside from that- the name is the most ironic title to any party event like that I've ever been too- "Whitetrash Bash"- a few hundred people on basically what is now a private island, and a few million dollars in Sportfishers, big center consoles with multiple outboards, and sweet flats boats anchored up.... mix in a few jon boats now and then for good measure!

That guy and his band are probably the best "new" group to come around in at least ten years. And really diverse too...every song sounds different...good stuff!

Enjoy the show Scott

just got back, what a show! 8)  You boys should have seen some of those country girls (short skirts, short shorts, tiny tops, long legs and cowgirl boots... ...whooo weeee!)

Bob, if you haven't checked out Zac brown band, do so now, im sure you;ll be hooked.  They are a great band no matter what type of music you are into. Hell, my music roots are mainly punk rock, but I still like this band..
