Matt,

I like your office.  You're window view is among the best. My buddy works in finance and is a top performer for his firm - he recently

was rewarded with a corner office.... but nothing compared to what you've got. Good on ya.

Great catches, thanks for the excellent photos....Capital, indeed !

Matt

Got to tell ya, I am more that jealous.
My boat is probably stuck in my shop at home for the next week or so because of the snow drifts in the driveway. One thing on my bucket list is fishing for reds or whatever they are called .
Watched some fishing shows on the outdoor network and ESPN, looks like a hoot.
Hard to imagine fishing in January wearing  shorts.
Someday I will talk the better half into a vacation down there.

Looks like fun :salut:  :salut:

Donna and Zig are long time clients from NJ and Donna always catches more and bigger fish we simply call her "hook"
Those fish where all caught on a 1/4oz jig (capt hank brown brand) with a live shrimp slow bounced across the bottom.
Give me that 19inch redfish to eat anyday over that bigger fish though.

Yep.  It's really close (0.4 mi.) to what the state calls "7 Mile North Reef" but it's not on the state's published list.  I have never seen this spot on any fishing chart.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the resident 400# Jewfish.  He is the landlord.  You have to pay him rent.  He will take the first 3-4 fish you catch before you get them to the top.  He will leave you alone after that.  It's a good spring kingfish spot too.

I targeted the jewfish several times.  The biggest outfit I have is a Diawa 600H on a Diawa roller guide rod rated 80-120# line.  200# braid and stranded steel leader.  He kicked my skinny azz every time but it was still a rush.

JJ, know we've talked about this a long time ago...but do you remember the TV episode where Roland Martin was catching them on bent butts locked down and left in the gunnel?

He'd hook up and pull them off the reef/wreck with the boat

(Gotta be on youtube somewhere)
