New floor install question...
« on: January 09, 2012, 02:25:23 PM »
I posted this question in the thread that I have running about my rebuild, but I'm afraid that it will get lost in the conversation and need some answers before tonight.
I will be filling the screw holes and fairing the floor gaps into the cap tonight with a Cabosil/resin (pookie according to Linden) mixture.  My question is, do you guys fill the holes and fair the sides with the pookie, THEN go back and tab everything with glass before laying the glass on the floor, or do you use glass while doing the filling and fairing also?  I would like to get all of the filling/fairing done tonight so I can start tabbing everything tomorrow night.

Thanks guys!   :salut:

I lay down the resin/cabosil as I tab... for two reasons: 1) it's plyable, so you can get good adhesion and smooth work 2) if you don't get a chance to tab over all of it you won't have to grind it before tabbing over it.
