What do you have to be thankful for?

After seeing the trend lately on Facebook and other sites that I'm a member of where people do nothing but complain about how bad their life is and how everything is going wrong, I began to think.  What exactly do I have to be thankful for?  I decided to post up and see what you guys are thankful for.

I have a wonderful wife that I absolutely do not deserve, 2 great step kids, 2 paid off vehicles (paid off the truck on Friday), a nice house, a boat that may not be 100% but it's all mine, a good job, good friends and a membership in the best boating site on the internet filled with really nice and helpful people (that would be you guys   ).

So let's hear it....  What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for a great wife, fine kids, great family members, and great friends...many of which are shipmates aboard the SS Classic Aquasport

And....having the chance to rebuild an old Aquasport to better than new condition.

God Bless you and your friends Mark, this time last year i lost my best friend and it's still hurts but time does help a little  

I am thankful for my Mary, without her I would never be who I am or who I want to be, and I'm thankful for a Great son Joshua, he is becoming quite the young man and has the abilities to concur the world if he wants to but the heart not to, and my daughter Ashleigh, though she has a disability she is quite the trooper and she truly see's the important things in life and teaches me to be patient and cherish the little things in life and her hugs melt me, I am more then thankful I feel truly Blessed.

My thoughts for their families, Mark.  I, too, welcome every day as something to be thankful for...

But most of all, I am thankful for my wife, Maggie.  It's always been said, behind a good man, stands a great woman.  Nuff said...

  Sorry for the loss of your buddies.  Your comment reminds me of somebody I used to admire. I would say "How is it, Sarge?", to a salty old Vietnam vet Sarge I used to know. He'd nod and growl, "Everyday above ground is a good one".  We should all take the time to enjoy waking up.

As for me, in near terms, I am thankful for the sassy woman who rolled the dice on me... its still up in the air whether she hit the number or crapped out    She's still at the craps table, so I guess that's a good sign  

In the big picture, I am thankful for the country we all grew up in, and particularly thankful for the bravery of those Colonials who grabbed their nutz and fought off tyranny.  Just regular schmoe's came together and their toughness and bravery defeated the most powerful military of the day.

Today - through the Constitution, a free-market, individual property rights, and all the other goodies we so easily forget - dudes, we are liven' in one bitchin' cool place to call home !   :sunny:

I have a wonderful wife who loves and tolerates me, my antics, and the boat....hmmm makes ya wonder.....5 children, 3 mine and 2 hers, 2 and 8/9ths grandchildren. A job, home, and great life long friends.

I think I have a pretty good life, a wonderful wife of almost 23 years, wonderful daughter.  I loved my military career, now converted into a civilian job.  Living in beautiful Pensacola near the water and my favorite passtime (fishing and boating).  Great friends who would do anything for me, and I for them.  And a million more things, that make life grand.

OBTW, my Kegerator and the invention of modern refrigeration, and Pensacola Bay Brewery.
