Tell you what. Wish had a fast helicopter, and could be Rick or Eddie.

Can't beat a man at his own game. If Scott says tomorrow is the morn boys...its time.

Best to the group...and Rick...know you don't get a chance to go much...so here's to you and Ed...burn 'em up

Well we made it back, it was a little rough this morning and there was some rain around but we went for it, ended up 24 miles out, the bite was off and on with alot of small ones but my boat kept 9 Reds and we lost a few big ones.

My Dad had the fish of the day when the line broke about ten feet from the surface   but it happens.

Rick and Eddie kept 4 Reds and had to throw back a nice Gag (Out of season) while we were out Ricks trim on his motor decided to stop working so he couldn't take advantage of how the water laid down for us on the way in but we all had fun.

Rick should be chiming in later but for now a few picks, more to come later

Rick and Eddie in action.

My Dad Carter with a nice one.

And Me.

This picture stinks, Maybe Rick has a better one but it's of a 215 Explorer, as big as the Gulf is and he has to stop and fish right next to  us   We tried to be friendly but they wouldn't oblige us.

Cool.  I did not know Rick knew how to fish in over 6' of water.  ;)

I actually didn't take any pics of the 215 that showed up - it was weird and he fell right into our drift and started diggin' a few up.
As CH said, we came back with some nice reds - 4 and one of them we both caught at the same time, stupid fish grabbed both of our baits.  Luckily we weren't fighting from opposite sides of the boat.   That gag was like fighting a horse - he got in a hole initially but I let off and he made the mistake of coming back out - what a fight.
I didn't get any pics of Eddie and I fishing but did get these:
On the way out

Seas were like 2-3 ft

Halfway there

Scott on one

My engine trim ('91 Yamaha 250 D/P) worked fine to trim up the motor at the house and then trim it down at the ramp but only clicks now.  So out and back with the total boat in the water - burned a lot of gas. I can't load the boat on the trailer and take it home because the motor skeg would be dragging on the road all the way home and would be missing by the time I got home  :( .  I took it next door to the boat club and left it in the water there.
Anyone know a way to jump across the trim and tilt relays on a Yammy - on my Johnson it's easy - yammy, nope.  It would be nice to trim it up enough to get her home.

Rick
You should be able to follow the TTU wires up into the engine compartment, find the  connector and disconnect it.  Bring a couple jumper leads, I don't know if that year is 2 or 3 wires but if 2 wires, connect one clip to eng ground, and the other to your starterbattery wire, then touch them to  the connector pins going too the TTU motor, if it goes "down" just reverse the connection.  If the TTU motor is not shot, it will bring the motor up.  Also, you have the release screw on the port side (I think) of the TTU, bring a large straight blade screwdriver, slip it into the access hole and turn CCW.  You will have to be standing by the motor  for this?  Then 2 guys should be able to rotate  the engine up and engage the trailer lock.  Don't know if you can get it up the ramp at all with the motor down, does it have  some room, or none at all?
