I do think that there is an assumption that most everything but humans, chimps, dolphins (and I'm sure some of your personal pets should be included in the list) are stupid but obviously they have not done enough research.  Seems every species adapts well to "get er done".

Shipoke is the old cracker term for green heron. The green heron is also known as shitpoke or shitbag for its habit of depositing excrement when taking off for flight. It is the only bird that commonly uses twigs, leaves, feathers, or in this case bread as bait to catch fish. That is why Fred Archibald decided to call his fishing skiffs Shipoke Boats / Green Heron Boatworks back in 1973.
