spray rails ????

Looking for spray rail suggestions and advise on how long and best location on hull .I have a 67 222 flatback

Good thinking, good post. Will suggest that you post same to "Rebuilds" so that the flatback owners/members/captains can best advise.

Smart rails have a good reputation and don't require you to put screws through the hull.  They seem a bit pricey for what you get, but then again, so does everything for a boat:

I was set on putting spray rails on my flatback during the rebuild after everything I had read and am happy I did not. I figured I would run the boat first and then decide.  The hull is crazy dry without them and spray rails make for more hull slap when anchored and fishing shallow water.. When I'm  running the boat in a heavy chop (Like the last few days 20mph + NE wind right on the beam) no spray comes off the hull until a foot or so behind the console. The trim tabs really help too
After running this boat for almost two months now it still amazes me every time out in rough conditions how dry this hull is.
