OEM or aftermarket T&T motor

Well the time has come to put a new trim and tilt motor on the 115 evinrude.
I was wondering what experience other people have had with after market motors or is it worth the extra for a factory unit.
As always, thanks in advance for you input.

Can't speak for a rude but I put a aftermarket (Arco?) tilt pump motor on my Force and it was MUCH better than the factory unit was.

I had an aftermarket on a 150 Oceanrunner. Ran like a champ.

In many cases the original OEM parts supplier is selling the same exact part under their brand for about 40% less with a better warranty after their obligation with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) has expired. Go for it. The OEM's are in the business of selling new engines and pricing their older engines out of practical existence by keeping replacement parts high priced and high margin.

I backfitted a complete aftermarket setup - pump/cylinder/etc. on an Evinrude back in the 80s and 90s and it never had a problem.
