SLOW I tells ya. Been busy as heck lately, selling my home, finding a new one, moving in, making the new one habitable. Fixing things..

But, it does have a nice view..



And twin 8000lb Boat Lifts.    The little 14' skiff is already living happily in one. I havent even dunked the Aquasport yet. It's tucked up under the Cedar trees. Last weekend I got some new filters, hatch springs, and a few more small things for it. Funny that this thing had dual Racors. I dont see the need, and I'll probably get rid of one in the future, but too much filtration wont be bad for now.

I did drain the tank yesterday. Or, rather, I had a scrapper from craigslist come and suck 60+ gallons of orange gatorade out of the tank.

I still need to go through the carbs. Repair/replace bilge pump. And then, in the lift she goes! I bet I've put more hours on my little skiff in the last month than I have in the last 2 years combined. Nice to have the boats right in your back yard.

Drained the carbs again, replaced the filters, did a few odds and ends, put some fresh fuel in the tank, and after a brief smokey struggle getting her to light off, she came back to life.

Pulled her to the ramp and lowered her into the water. Let her run for 10 minutes to see if I would get any alarms. Got none. Gave her full throttle and she damnear pushed the wifes Tahoe up the ramp. So, I unhooked her, told the wife to take the truck and trailer home, and headed for the house.

She sounds good. 46mph at 5800 rpms. 30mph at 4500rpms seems a good cruise. A hair over 30 psi water pressure at WOT. No alarms. Made it to my dock in 10 minutes or so and had to wait for the wife and kids to board. Took them for a brief ride and she started to break up a little and wasnt idling super smooth. The fuel in my filter is looking good. I think I'll try running her again to see if it will clean out. If not, the carbs are coming off for a cleaning and she'll get new plugs.

She's in the lift.
