Maybe it's an Explorer?
Pics would help.

Very interesting.
Worthless post without pics but......

I own a 91 and since I haven't run across a 90, I look forward to a pic of the HIN.
May be a 89 XF hull assembled in Bradenton or the same hull as mine and Fearless Leader's 230 (just 2 feet shorter).

Does it have the original decals on the cabin? 210 WALKAROUND maybe?

Look like this?

Bob,

Would you say your 210 is a transition model between the XF models and the Explorers?  It's hard to see but it looks like you have full depth side walk arounds similar to my XF.

In name yes. It's labeled as a Walkaround rather than Explorer. Rick's 230 is the same hull and cap with 2 additional feet added in the stern as my 210. His however carries the EXPLORER name and I believe that year (92) is the first named EX model.
However, while our two vessels are the same (LOA withstanding) both hull and cap are different on our models than those from the Hialeah Express Fisherman model like yours.

So, while Genmar searched for a marketing name during this time, they kept the hull and cap the same. That design change may have been influenced by the Wellcrafts being built in the same plant (a WAG) but no doubt, the 91-93 models are different from the older XF models in both name and design. I've been searching for a 90 to see when the change (90 or 91) actually took place.

Our model is shallower (I believe) than yours. I have two steps from the main deck.

Whoa!  Never seen one like that!  I would say that is a definite transition model.  Notice the lack of the "wings" on either side of the helm.  It has a single step up to a deep walk around.  Interesting boat.

Oh my. :o
Right color combination on the decal stripes.
I'd really like to see a closeup of the HIN plate on the transom and possibly the Coast Guard capacity sticker (possibly located in the helm area) or maybe that's it on the inside port gunwale in the second pic?

I've seen Aquas of this era with the numbers (210) shaped like that.

Could this be the missing link.

sorry no more pics until at least Sunday, thats when i will go look at the  boat again and get to crank it up. What do you guys think?  Think its worth $6K if all checks out, The gel coat is mint very little scratches and I only noticed 1 gel coat stress crack on the floor in front of the cabin door. Also have you guys had any experience with Mariner outboard motors? This vessel has a 1989 200hp mariner Is this the same as a blackmax, also looks pretty clean on the inside, although I did notice some water in the bottom of the pan.

That boat is a carbon copy of a 230C Sea Ox, albeit a bit shorter. Always admired that design; unrestricted quick movement forward, no wings to block forward access.

Biddison made a similarly styled version in a 21 footer, early eighties...betcha SB remembers.

210...wouldn't be hasty at 6K. Its a buyers market right now.

Where are you located...maybe a member can ride with you :thumright:

Boat is located in Miami, FL. Also this boat reminds me of the Dusky FAC Walk Around model. I would really like to put a leaning post/live well combo instead of the dual chairs.

That would be a natural progression. User-friendly.

Main thing...check the transom, decks....sea-trial her...then walk away for the time being.

Negotiation is a spice of life.

Definitely a transition model - helm area is almost like a center console.
