Right now, Scott, the fish are recovering from the pressure change.  They won't feed tomorrow, maybe Friday.  They feed voraciously before the front comes through, but their equilibrium is effed up for about 2 days after it passes...

Sucks in the wintertime when a front comes through on Thurs/Fri, the weekend is gorgeous, but the fish won't bite...especially reds and snook...

Gotcha. And that was the first question you asked regarding frontal passage for our Octoberfest reunion...WHEN did the front come through. Answered the night before, and you explained per above. No wonder four boats got skunked. Our targets were reds and specks.

We saw them...but no takers.

And to reiterate your theory for a bite during a pressure drop (approaching front)...I've seen a big T storm coming, and the fish go off like crazy. Saltwater fish.

The windows have been open here for 2 weeks.  Tonight they are closed and I thought about building a fire.  Calling for 40 in the morning.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We just CLOSED the windows for the win ter and turned the furnace on.  I get maybe 4 or 5 more blackfish trips before the air temperature is in the 40's and the water temp just above that.

Then its for long months until anything re-appears.

Thank heavens for woodworking.

I lived in West Palm for a few years and its this time of yhear I really miss Boynton Beach peer

I don't miss it.  The weather is not too bad here.  We are about the same latitude as Jacksonville.  This is unusual for us.  We normally only see 40 deg. in late Dec and Jan.
