Whew!! Just went over to THT, things moving along well over there on this thread, the usual bantering, and off-topic shoot-offs from the usual crowd, but overall a very good move to take this to the forum where there is a huge audience.  Great job Bob

Little fun on a Saturday night...we'll see what E**** has to say in the next couple of days.

On a side note, just got a PM from a THT'r about Tommy (Hammerhead).  Apparently he has an "issue".  Anybody care to PM me with "horror" stories?  Or, hell, I don't give a chit, put it out there!  I mean, this is what I know about Tommy (Hammerhead Livewells and other stuff).  He makes a good product.  It's Pricey.  His demeanor is somewhat gruff...

Maybe a different thread would be good.

UPDATE:

Went and picked up boat on Thursday.  Upon arrival I see that only 60% is done and am told that is all they are going to do.  PLUS I have to not only pay the balance of the original amount, but an additional $70.

They must have been expecting some sort of a big confrontation because they had three guys standing there like security.  LOL

Here is a complete time-line of everything that happened from drop off to pick up.  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/693951/Timeline.pdf

This is a father/son team.  99% of my interactions have been with the son who has a very hot head.  The father seems even tempered but again was indifferent when the issues were brought to his attention.

I will be sending the father a certified letter outlining my position and how I would like to have him resolve this situation.  I hope and trust he does the right thing.

Speacial thanks to Seabob for the support and help with all this.

Just read through a few pages of this over on THT, and was promptly reminded of the reason I stay away from that place.  Not even a page in, and the insults start to fly, then the typical thread derailing of substance lacking ego mania.

Its a shame that there's so many knowledgeable people (like SeaBob) over there that are given such a hard time when they try to help others.

Goes with the territory I guess, Jess.  Just ask your Dad...

I'll always try to help.  The way I look at it, if one has the knowledge, the ability, and the tools, one should try to help.  One never knows when he might need some help someday.  A little gilded?  Maybe.  But I'll stick with it... :thumright:

That is exactly what I thought about 1/2 down the first page.
It makes me know staying away from those losers is the right thing.
I think someone with Sea Bobs knowledge scares them?

I know I scare me!  Just looking in the mirror each morning!

Bryan, I think it's "keyboard bravado", "courage in a bottle", boredom, God, any number of things that make some over there act the way they do.  But, and I have to say this, there are many members of THT that I truly respect, and learn from, and I find because of that reason that I learn, as there are many, many aspects of boating that I need to learn about.  So, I'll put up with the trivialities and the sniping, so as to further my knowledge base and, hopefully, be able to help someone further down the line that I may not have been able to before...

Besides, THT can be really good entertainment as well!

THT can be a great place to glean information and share the knowledge you have with others.  But you have to enter the site with a calm and laid back attitude, ready to circumnavigate the "idiot zone".  With any group of individuals on a forum, as the total number of participants increases, so does the percentage of MORONS, this leads to indivduals responding to posts that have #1, no idea what to say, but must contribute some useless dribble #2, add useful and thoughtful comments, #3, Pure antagonistic's that just want to swim upstream against everyone else.  It's not bad, it's just what it is.  Don't expect the comradery, and quality of our forum over there, and you won't be disappointed

Well said Marc.  Pretty much the way I go about it.  But you know what?  As I have said before, after I check my emails and chit like that, this is the first place I go... :salut:  :salut:
