The data is awesome, know you're pleased. Should be even better with the prop tuning.

Everyone seems real happy with a 175 Suzuki on a 22-2.

Was looking back through your thread...did you get the freshwater tank in....tx!

Not yet Gran, it's on the (still lengthy) list of things to do.  :)

One week of school left and the admiral has ordered that the boat must have a stereo for our lake vacation June 1. Ok, simple enough, nothing fancy, just pull the old 1976 era speakers and install the nice new Wet Sound SW-650's, drop in the nice new Fusion, connect the wires, e viola, music!

The old speakers don't want to come out. The screw heads are so corroded they won't hold a screwdriver. Bring on the Dremel! Oops, lots of sparks right over the gas tank. Rethink. Contort on knees to get vise grips on the inner screws, bust a few knuckles, use hammer judiciously, old POS speakers are free! Ha Ha!

Original speaker hole LOOKS perfect for new speakers, but no, about 1/16" too small! Harumph! Contort on knees, jigsaw hole expansion, breath lots of fiberglass dust, e viola, hole resized! Ha Ha!

Port speaker fits easily, Starboard, 1/2" too close to battery box. Harumph! Unhook batts, pull same out onto deck (back sings displeasure). Batt box screwed to deck,, naturally. Contort on knees to unscrew Batt box, contort some more to fill screw holes with 5200. Get 5200 all over hands when nozzle separates from squeeze tube. Harumph. Leave mess to dry.

Bonus time, so install anchor chocks forward, and scupper valves aft. Really hoping the scupper valves work!

Now trying to chisel 5200 off hands :)

Love the Sampson Post! :thumleft:

As has been said, if it's on a boat, it will take 5 times longer and cost 3 times as much.  Sure, piece of cake!  Swap out a couple speakers, 10 minutes tops...

Yeah, right... :pale:
