I think I am going to use 2 to make 1. Please excuse me for my lack of boat knowledge and some of the terminology I refer to, as I am new to boating. I first purchased the Osprey with a new E tec 130, I got a great deal on the boat, motor, and trailer. I only purchased the Osprey for the motor. My plan was to get another Osprey hull and slap the E tec on and be good to go. Well... that was the plan at least. In my search for another Osprey I came across the beautiful CCP. I grabbed the CCP hull immediately ( without measuring the transom) and was getting excited that my master plan was soon to be on the water. I soon found out that the Osprey had a 20 inch shaft on the E tec. I sold the E-tec and now... Well, I have no idea what I'm going to do. My problem is not getting another motor. I have decided to go with a either a E tec 175 or a Honda 150, new. I get stuck thinking about; where I am going to find someone to make me hatches for the CCP. Will I be able to do the wiring ( I dont even know how to use a soder). The plumbing for the baitwell and the finishing touches that make a classic aquasport. I am in the process of putting a game plan together and getting ready to act on it. I don’t have deep pockets, so I need to do as much of the work as possible

Welcome! There has been a LOT of time spent on the CCP.
Since you're new to this (we all were) maybe one of the members can come check her out with you.
Congrats!

Alright guys, recent developments. I think I' ve sold the Osprey with the aluminum Continental Trailer for a very low price. I dont have the space for all this stuff so I had to move it quick. Hopefully all goes as planned tomorrow so I can focus on the CCP. I called Marine Connection Liquidators and they made me feel more confident about moving forward with my CCP, along with all the support that I've received from all you Aquaholics.

It stinks that you had to sell the boat cheap but you do what you have to,the people at MCL were very helpfull when i was there and they seem to have decent prices, besides the motor they should have what you need.

I' m might take the day off from work tomorrow and take some essential items from the hull before I sell it in the afternoon. Teak, leaning post with livewell, etc. Hopefully my boss doesnt get too mad. :bounce:

I took everything I needed off the Osprey hull, the guy that was supposed to pick it up fell through and did not show. I will give the hull away to someone if they want it as a project. I want to sell the trailer separate.

Under the console where the gas tank is( it looks like a panel that can be replaced is soft) kind of in the area where you would stand behind the console and in front of the console. For the most part I think the hull is solid. I needed the leaning post for my CCP so it is a bare bones hull. But I will literally donate it to a registered Aquaholic with experience, so I can watch the progress.
