The pics on the inside don't help much with dating the boat.  The hull will tell the story.  a 1974 model looks to be about right for that boat.  The bow line compound curve and lifting strake in the front mean it's a likely a 1973 or later boat, but before the below-deck tank came along.

The registration HIN does not help, as it's for a homemade boat titled in Michigan.  OK, here's maybe what you don't want to hear - are you sure you want to chase this?    It's not that unusual for boats stolen from Florida to find their way up to the midwest or Great Lakes, then get sold with some other boat's HIN or a salvage or homemade HIN.

As some songwriters have said:
Don't ask a question you don't want answered
Don't spit into the wind
Don't tug on Superman's cape
Don't shot a snake in the bottom of the boat
Don't mess around with Jim

I have a plastic placard stating Aquasport Custom 170 Max 950lbs 85 H.P. Serial No. C532 then right below it there is a printed label with Commonwealth of Massachusetts Assigned Hull Number MSZ MT 363 G606.

My .02. Daniels boat looks like a 74. Big Dan's sounds like a pre 72. Massachusetts couldn't figure out how to enter a 4 digit hin and assigned one like it was homebuilt boat. I also think that Aquasport only used the "custom" label for the first few years of production.
