Bilge Plumbing? 80's 17
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:23:59 PM »
I have an access port to the Bilge area & mounting the actual Pump is no prob.
But what about the actual Plumbing Hose & discharge port.
I think the gunnels are Foam filled ,not sure what they did from factory?
Looking for some suggest for a neat/clean install
Thanks

I'm not sure how the stern of your boat is set up - some pictures would help.  This is how I installed bilge pumps and plumbed them overboard in my boat:

I would have thought in the 80's a bilge pump would have been mandatory CG equipment,oh well, what Jesse did to his should help you out,if not we'll figure something out  :salut:

A pic of both sides of the splashwell area will definitely give us a better idea.  If it's similar to Jessie's, I have an idea.

Jessie, is there a gap between the stringer and the deck going to port in your bilge?

No - stringers are bonded to the deck all the way to the transom
