I have to chime in on the 240 because I just posted a thread a few days ago about rebuilding mine.  Because I now own one, I can say that you won't be disappointed with the 240.  Its nice to have that extra room it offers and a little more stability in the water strictly based on size.  I was originally looking for a 222 and am extremely glad that I bought the 240 instead.  I have a 2003 Honda 225 that came on the boat when I bought it.  The boat gets on plane extremely fast.  The top end is low, IMO, so I'm thinking the boat is propped for low end rather than speed.  I paid $10k for mine and want to add about $15k more (hopefully that's it) in a rebuild so my total will be about $25K when all said and done.  If that other 240 in the ad is rebuilt properly, you could throw on a brand new 250hp motor for another $15k (I guess that's how much a new motor would be) and come away with an awesome boat with a brand new motor for around $27-29k.  I do like the twins though because I would feel alot better about it when heading offshore.  Someday when I have to re-power (which will probably not happen because my Honda only has 270 hrs.) I am going to seriously look into twins.  Here is more deadrise with an outboard.

p.s. I pull mine with a Ford F150.  Does just fine for what I need.  I drive about 10 minutes to the ramp.  I don't think I need brakes on the trailer, but it would definitely be safer.

The deadrise on a 22-2(modified vee) is 12 degrees. The deadrise on a 240 is 14 degrees.

C master, and gata:

Fitz and I have been doing homework/teamwork on Tampa area Aquasport rebuilders. We have found a company that does business the old-fashioned way. That is, you get what you pay for, on time, and on budget. Reasonably. Not 20 grand.

I'll be out of town for the remainder of the week, so please PM fitz for the good news.

Best to you both, and other members considering a quality rebuild.
