I have a close friend who crop-dusts for the Texas prison system. He has a Mexican trustee from the prison who 'spots' him...stands at the edge of the field with a ball on a stick, so my friend can line up for each pass. He personally bought the guy a light-weight protective suit with a respirator.
Last month he's dusting with some pretty harsh chemicals, and as he flies over, he sees that Javier has taken off his suit. He's just holding a rag over his face with each pass. About that time an OSHA truck drives up. So Mark sets the Ag-Cat down and walks over to talk to OSHA. The OSHA guy says, "You're worker isn't wearing his suit!" Mark says, "Yeah I know. See the problem is, he's a lifer - no parole. Also, I don't pay him. So other than being outdoors, he's not really motivated to be hot." (It was 107 degrees)
The OSHA guy says, "Well, he has to wear it or I'm going to fine you." So the OSHA guy tells Javier in Spanish, "You have to wear it." Javier says, "Si." and puts it back on.
OSHA drives off, Mark takes off. Two passes later the suit is laying on the road.
Mark's looking for another trustee...with a shorter sentence.
