I am thinking it should go but what do you think about the name on the transom? I kinda like it!

Remove the Marlin?  Yes.  I don't think you'll be pulling up many offshore monsters in what is really an inshore boat.

Remove the Name?   No.  It looks cool  8)  and is tasteful

You could go with one of these decals (they have several in different colors to go with your scheme)

Ever since I've put that on my boat, the DNR hasn't pulled me since...

:D

Reminds me of the joke about the star running back from Georgia.

(You can fill-in where he's from depending on your team of choice, but since this is Lew's thread...Its Georgia  )

Anyhow, the kid was a talent, but he wasn't the brightest light in the harbor...plus he had a chit attitude.

So the coach calls him to his office, and chews his rear-end out. The kid sits there, expressionless.

Finally, the coach says "Son, are you ignorant... or just apathetic?

The kid sits there for a minute, thinking, and finally says...

"Coach...I don't know, and I don't care."

Go Dawgs
