Thanks Kraw! Got the motor on last night.......that was not fun. However, it is mounted perfectly.

I have my little GPS/ Chartplotter and guages mounted on the top of the console. It works out great, as I'm installing a leaning post.

Just uploaded some pics!

Did you run the bilge pump discharge over the stringer and up to the starboard side where the access cover is shown? I did the same on mine on the other side. It was very easy.

The last pic it looks like you are mighty tired..!!

Yep, ran the bilge pump hose over the port stringer and out just below the rubrail.

That's not me! That is my friend who I tricked into helping me. I'm a bit of a Mechanic, so I work on his cars/ toys. So, when I need a hand doing manual labor, he's the man for the job.......assuming the beer is cold.

I put some pics up from our wedding so you guys can put a face to the potty language and poor syntax.

Fletch,

Wedding Pics will keep the wife happy. Mine always gets upset when I spend too much time working on the boat. Console looks awesome, you will in the water just in time for the fall run!!!

HEY FLETCH IM NEW HERE BUT HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR REBUILD.  YOUVE DONE A  FANTASTIC JOB LOOKS AMAZING.
IM REDOING A 1975 170 AND AM DOING SOME SIMILAR MODS. THE RIGGING TUBE YOU PUT IN WONT WORK WITH THE STEERING AND THRODDLE CABLES?

Hey thanks!

I ended up just running the throttle cables along the bottom, as I made the pvc bends @ 90 degrees, the linkage portion of the throttle cables would not make the bend. If I had to do it agian, I'd just run everything on the bottom along the outside of the starboard stringer. Just drill holes in the deck and run everything through those black plastic rigging hose thingers.

With PVC fittings there are pressure fittings and DWV fittings (Drain Waste and Vent)

With DWV fittings a 90 is called a "1/4 bend". A long 90 is called a "sweep".

Pressure fittings have a longer "socket" for a stronger gluing area and their 90's are short for flowing water under pressure.

If you use electrical conduit you can get the 90's as long as you need them to be.

Looking sweet, it's getting closer by the day....love the color....and it never hurts to stay in the good graces of the young Mrs.... You never know when the dreaded " honey guess what" comes up with the boat...We had ours out at the coast this weekend and the Mrs actually said she was glad I had redone it..

Moved out of the big shop this weekend. Got her over to a friends house (much closer to home) to do the final rigging/ wiring. It's really rewarding to FINALLY see her with the console on. I'm pumped!!!
