If you have limited space for a switch panal have one made or make one out of plexi glass and install your own switches, 12V plug etc. This way you can use any switches you want including 3 way lighted switches that do not usually come in prewired switch panels.

Okay..... Here's a non-gauge question. Should I run the fuel lines in the factory location (under the floor) or put a filler in the console. I'm torn between the two methods. I have to cut the floor to run new lines and at $9/ft, they aren't cheap. However, maybe putting a filler in the console would look cheap??? I need to figure this out because it affects how the fittings are welded on the new tank.

Personally I don't care for the fuel fill on the console.

I'm kind of starting to think that way myself. It's more.expensive, but it's original and let's face it..... There really isn't much real estate on a 19-6 console...... I was wrong about the price of fuel line too...... It's $13/ft, not $9! I figure I'm going to need around 10 feet too. I'm going to end up spending $200 just on hoses!  lol

BOAT...Bust Out Another Thousand...Lol!

I know a few of my buddies that put two fills on their tanks when they had them fabricated.  That way when they pull the boat and trailer into the gas station they could pull into which ever side of the pump that was open.  Twice the fill hose $$$$$$$.

Wow! I'm on a shoestring budget for a few more months. 10 feet of fill hose, 9 feet of vent hose and 15 feet of feed hose is plenty for me right now!

I did it on my CCP when I replaced the tank.
I would not do it again.

Not really sure if it violates any boating industry laws.

CB, as long as the tank compartment is ventilated, you have no issues, standards wise.  Would I do it?  No...

I posted these pics in my rebuild thread, but thought I'd put them here too just to give you an idea of what I've done.  I don't think that I'll have anyproblems now with having enough real estate on my console for electronics.....  I'm even thinking about adding a glove box and stereo now that I have so much room.  This is the modification that I made to my console yesterday.

Now I can mount just about anything short of a flat screen tv on the console!
