Scott, do you have a weather station or is that at the airport?

No, I don't. Judgment call on the 55. And the sustained aspect...and want to be accurate...should not have used that term at this point. It has been coming and going. It was actually right much heavier in terms of wind velocity 45 minutes ago than it is now.

As soon as a heavy band comes in....she picks up hard.

If it'll stop long enough...will call the Figure Eight island bridge on the VHF and see what they have registered.

PS...just saw your new post pop up as was working on this....I'm not FOS after all....woo-hoo!

We just had a shower pass through all the way over here in ATL. No wind though. The outer clouds showed up this afternoon. I agree, it is a big sucka!

I know Scott, CJ, Jesse, don't want to hear this, but today was probably the best day we have had all summer.  Irene has basically sucked all the moisture out of the southeast, so it was very dry, almost cloudless, with about a 15 knot breeze...almost like a hot winter day...

Carry on fellers, hunker down!  As has been said..."This too shall pass..."

Just talked to Scott,

Cable just went out, no more communication with the AS brothers. Lights are flickering, wind is blowing 60 ish. He is setting up his flounder light (LED`s) in tactical areas around the house. So far so good. With this major pressure drop, he thinks he's going to get lucky tonight. He just needs to continue to add value tonight during this crisis.

Except for his distended pinky when he drinks; I give him a 6.75 plus an extra tenth of a point for personality....
