The mini clip work well to hold rod tips against a T-top or tower and stop the rods tapping.

Just received 3 new closeout Beckson hatches....off-white, beautiful....made in France.
And ordered 2 new 6 inch spin-out pie plates too. But they only sent one.
So called them, they apologized profusely...and sent the second one free!
These folks are an absolute pleasure to do business with.
And the price is right...call and ask for Matt.
Thanks Woody!

Well the problem with these are,
1. They're a trip hazard until you adjust to the fall. :eye:
2. Beige????
So.........
I bought two
Thanks Woody.

The beige is actually an off-white. Asked them about it, they said no good reason why they are called beige, just a term their webmaster came up with.
You'll be real pleased with them Bob.

Scott,
I talked with Matt and it's not really a brown but not white either. On their website they show multiple colors of "beige" in the pie plates so there's no tellin' what they will look like till I see them but......
At this price, who cares.
At 49.50 a piece, I couldn't pass up the chance to replace the so called access doors on my WAC. Hell, they're grey and don't match a thing so "beige" may be a pleasant (brings out my softer side) change.
More important to a function type like me, they will greatly reduce the amount of water that blows right by the stock doors. Push comes to shove, I'll paint um. They're ABS plastic.
I'm thinkin' red.

Oh hell yea
I ordered another one...24 by 14 or thereabouts for the deck in front of the console, it just got here. Only 1/2 inch tall, installed. Double latch...good stuff!
And great service, easy folks to deal with.

Would any of you guys know what size I would need for the deck hatch in front of the coffin for a 222 CCP? My storage area is molding in with the cap, but the deck was never cut out. Must have been a factory option at the time.

Hey buddy,
That Beckson hatch (link above) would get the job done. But would ask John, since he has your ride. Hey Cap'n John....
The OD measurements are in the link above. Very pleased with the price/quality.

JD,
It can be whatever size (within reason) that you like. Mine had a molded tub under the opening (assume that's what you have from your post and can see/feel it from the front locker). Since it's not cut, you just need to know want you want to store (cant be too heavy) and if it will fit through. Size accordingly.
I used this hatch (needed to trim the original opening slightly) for years and have since remounted in the WAC.

The Beckson sticks up 1/2" + so be aware it may be a trip hazard until you get used to falling down. I can't speak for the seal. My Bomar leaked a small amount when new and leaks a lot more 15 years later. Never tripped and it supported my bigger dive buddies. Still does, but I'm looking to replace it.
The Becksons look well made though, and will do the job for me. They will not be in a traffic area (unless I take Spiderman fishin') and they are a great price.
Good Luck.

Thanks Capt. Bob and Scott. I guess it just comes down whether to spend $100.00 just to access that little bit of storage
I guess it was designed for life jackets maybe
The only thing I don't like about it not being cut out is the fact that it feels like I have a giant soft spot in front of the coffin box. The fact there is no foam under neath makes it "springy". Opinions, should I cut it out
