Rhojo on vacation

Jon and Rhonda are on vacation at Holden Beach, NC. We are going flounder stalking tomorrow afternoon on a good tide.

Their guide is questionable ... but the solunar tables are favorable.

Looking forward to a fun afternoon. Especially with the twin Johnny 70's.

I heard the planets are all aligning, so the extra gravitational forces should bring the flounder closer to the beach   Get-Em!!

I have six disposable CVS cameras that come in a package from en Chine for $3.99.

But Rhojo's have one of them internet cameras. Mrs. Rhojo says she will take the pictures of our catches piscatores muy largo del flounderes.

Wow, what a day! I can't thank Scott enough for a great afternoon of fishing in Lockwoods Folly Inlet! We drifted on the sock a few times near a civil war shipwreck and then set the anchor and just let the current take the line. We didn't catch anything but I learned more in those few hours than I can ever remember learning in that time frame. It was amazing!   More pics in the next post, I'm at the limit here...

Guys, what great pics...thanks very much!

Rhonda, I remember you taking the pic of the blockade runner near low water...terrific job...and amazing that it still remains in this inlet. Most inlets on the NC coast over a 150 year period will migrate substantially... mostly northward. But this is one of the few inlets on the east coast that faces southwest...and is therefore in a lee to a hard fall/winter nor'easter.

Cool stuff. And what an exciting day.

Hate we didn't catch anything. But we did have three good bites. Brought the big driftsock...deployed amidships...did buy us some time on the drift. Thanks again for the nice invitation guys!
