Thanks BobSomeone else had warned me that the instruction manual was a pos. Thinking maybe the Furuno 620 may be the way to go.
Well I decided to go with the Si-Tex SVS650.Bob your right manual is a poc. Called tech support on how to display single screen after I messed with it for 1/2 hour. My first mistake was I read the manual. Got to say Sitex has good tech support, I called them, wasn't put on hold, all their techs were on another line, they took my # and said someone would get back to me with in 5 minutes. I got return call in 3 minutes. Tech explained how to get just the single screen, very simple. I told them what I thought of the manual, guess they received more complaints about it and said they are now in process of coming out with a new manual.Had a chance to go out fishing last weekend and play around with the unit a little bit, found it to be very user friendly, trick is don't read the manual. Thanks to everyone.Bill
Bill,I'm actually in the process of terminating the power leads (transducer's plugged in). What's the "trick" to getting a single screen, either 50 or 200?

A screen will appear for all the different screen setting 200/50, 200, 50 ect. Scroll down or up with arrow buttons until the screen display you want is highlighted, now here's the tricky part, the bottom @ the r lower of unit above the power button there's a button thats got stc/sel and ent around it, press that. I read that dang manual I don't know how many times about screen display and couldn't fugure it out, manual almost like it's written in a foreign language.
