waiting on these 2 switches to mate up with the forward and aft bilge pumps for my 225................Anyone ever try these yet ?

Can't say I ever saw those type before but they appear to "blend in" well.

I had thought of using the other johnson switch that is available.  Decided to give this one a try due to the float itself being "inside". and protected.  Will post result when its complete.  I'll be attacking the dreaded aft bilge without Pete's pieplate method as I just do not have the time to extend the project.

forgot to mention....offered my 100# buddy a case of beer to reach in there

It can be done,i did it and i'm not a little guy,remove the whole frame of the rear hatch and you will gain some room,i also removed the batteries,gave me room for my left shoulder when i was reaching down.

thanks for tip scott, I did take that frame off and it did help BUT, ran into a new problem, the heads of all the screws that fasten the bilges and floats are all shot. I literally can not unscrew any of the 8 total screws to the forward or aft pumps.  I also need to be careful with those old floats with mercury.  I'm beginning to wonder if stainless screws were even used, can't tell cause I can't get any of them out,  I have tried all size screw bits and none even catch a slotted groove.

This design is tried and true....had an old leaking wooden boat in the late 70's early 80's...Sent the Lovett Pump back to the factory every year for reconditioning...$19.95..year after year

The switch you have is exactly the same...minus the pump.

You'll be pleased....good stuff, and won't get hung on "ON" by debris/flotsam.

Is there enough of the screw head exposed to get vise grips on them ?
