through hull removal?

is there any way to remove the through hull for the livewell drain besides cutting a hole in the deck, or breaking my arm in 3 places to reach it?

Looking at your second pic, I'm betting that pie on the vertical face just above the sole doesn't help much...

Late question I know...but is it cracked/full of debris/broken hose etc?

all the trough hulls are dry rotted and faded. so im removing  them before the boats painted and replacing with some stainless ones when its done

The problem with most t/hulls that builders install (not just AS) is that they really aren't located to facillitate replacement, they are located to clear certain stuff and to try, as best as they can, to actually drain what they are supposed to.  I guess when builders decided to "cheapen" their build by using nylon t/hulls, they didn't plan on them having to be replaced, and in most cases, really didn't give a rat's ass...just the way it is in the industry, trust me, I know...

Case in point.  I worked on an Everglades Bay boat yesterday in Orlando, adding a pair of underwater lights and a GoLight wireless spotlight.  Easy I say, all the light needs is power, all electronics boxes on t/tops (at least the ones I've built and/or worked on) have a hot and ground bus for doing exactly what I was doing.  Guess what?  Everglades, whom all consider upper tier, didn't have any!  And it was a factory, powder-coated top!  I mean, WTF!

So I guess Aaron, cutting some holes is probably going to be what you have to do.  Not much of a "plan", but sometimes you have to do what you have to do...

well i ended up cutting a hole, found some 4 inch pie plates in the garage, off white from my dads searay, spray painted it white with some krylon fusion... found a little bit of wet wood at the starboard edge of the hole...

what a PITA it was to remove the t-hull fitting itself!
