Well, we're back!

What a crazy day. We hunted bait in all of the usual holes...only thing, never saw a flip. Went to every spot from here to Carolina Beach, 20 miles south....never threw the net. By this time the wind was picking up pretty good. Went back to Wrightsville Beach, picked up some cigar minnows, and headed out the inlet...not too bad.

Thirty minutes later, it was blowing like a banshee...3 to 5 feet, short-stacked and breaking. We decided to head to the hill.

We went swimming...but never left the boat

Now we are home. We may drink beer.

The only bait Scott could catch today?  Cigar minnows.  And they were frozen.

Was great until we went to the big water.  Scott is talking about catching crabs tonight.

Hey nice livewell looks like the same one I have.   Did you get it from the guy I suggested?

wingtime,

We rigged it up last night, first view here. I was really impressed by the wall thickness...more than twice as thick as our local Sea Striker product, yet a whole lot less money. And the flush stainless nuts for the optional tie-downs were a nice surprise. But the recessed "handles" were the real kicker.

Great find! Rhojo may need the link...hopefully ya'll can hook up.

Thanks wt :thumright:

Oh my....Actually bro Marc...that ain't a bad idea!

A friend of mine mentioned this "club" he went to just once....and since we have darn near gale force winds...maybe we should fish tomorrow at this fishing club he recommends for serious fishers.

He pretty much guaranteed that we would catch something.

Will report...crabbing or clubbing. Or both. If we make no sense and seem really silly tomorrow afternoon...guess you guys will "figger her out thar"...that is, we caught something...'cause we ain't caught :*: so far.

Those are some good tips.

But this wriggling thing...what happens when the worm quits wriggling? Especially when night fishing? That ain't a good presentation, a non-wriggling night-crawler magnum worm wannabe.

I don't know...all of these snake-oil worm remedies...oxygen, helium, fillers, buffers etc...why can't nature just take its course, and forget helping a feeble worm. Wow...makes my heart fribulate thoroughly... Whar's my medications?

Flatlander?  You were the one crying about getting wet when we were coming back in.  Had a great time though, thanks for the hospitality arthur!  Youll have to join us in our home waters one of these days!
