got the deck prepped and the first coat of durabak down today. I'll do the second coat in the morning, then the last coat when I get home from the office tomorrow! Then this weekend, I can finish the tab install and put the ol'girl back together.

I'm almost ready to start taking pics, I put the tan down. It was really close to the tan on the boat now. I still have to do final connections to the pump for the tabs, but everything is installed but the switch. If I put an additional coat of durabak in the am, then a final after work tomorrow, I should be able to finish everything on sat morning. Except the teak. That will take some more time.

Okay, so the deck is all coated, pics to be coming, but I wanted to do a before and after on the teak. This is before, I have been working all day on stripping varnish and sanding the teak down, I have it all washed and ready to start coating it in the morning.

I have to say, I love teak guard. The hardest part was the chemical stripping and sanding. Once that was done, the rest was easy. Just wash with the cleaner and brushes provided, then coat with the teak guard and the foam brush provided. 2 coats per day. I did 5 total. Love the results!

You think you love it now. Just wait till a section starts to show wear.
No more sandpaper. Just a light bush (bronze) and touch it up.
Talk about easy and the repair matches perfect.
Best thing since sliced bread for people like me who love the look of teak but are too lazy to stay on top of it.
