Hi, we ain't as smart as we thunked, cause we had no kapshuns!

So, from top to bottom: The two Scotts, one is young and handsome, the other is old and husky. (Skoot's as-new killer 19-6, Tampa)

Next is Fitz catching a 100# poon! (Tampa)

Next is Fitz's smoking hot 22-2 beauty. (Daytona)

Last is me at Hurricane Patty's in Flager Beach exploring my femine side.

I think you need to surrender the "man card" for at least a week.

Whats up with that fruity drink Scott?  Are you going soft on us?  Guess I'll have to rethink the party supplies for the fishing trip..... Darn..........

Thanks guys!

We had an awesome time :thumright:

Would have been great to announce it beforehand and see if others may be interested, but unfortunately, I couldn't. There was a company in Port Richey that for six months refused to ship my paid-for boat parts. It was necessary to pay them a surprise visit Friday morning, which could have turned ugly. The owner may lurk here, so....

Fitz picked me up at the Tampa Airport, we went to Indian Rocks Beach. Scott lives close by, he took us to a nice seafood place for dinner. The next afternoon, based on the tide, he took us Poon Fishin'.

His 19-6 "Time Capsule" has to be seen to be believed. Honestly, to look at it, it looks like it MAY be 5 years old. Everything is perfect. Everything. Really cool as-new Gator galvanized trailer, too.

Scott could easily be a professional guide. He took us to his favorite hole. He used specialized techniques that I noticed none of the other boats were using. These quickly paid off...we hooked a hundred pound poon twenty minutes after we started! Fitz fought him like a champ for around 3 minutes....jumped twice...as he was going for the third jump, we noticed the leader had got behind his gill-plate...he smiled as he said bye-bye.

None of the other boats around us had so much as a sniff. I think it was because of our superior captain....he has tarpon fished there in his backyard since he was old enough to ride a trike...he's damn good. And plus, great attitude, funny, and happy. Just a pleasure to be around. Thanks Scott!

Fitz and I headed over to his place at Palm Coast. He has a very nice home in a quiet secluded neighborhood. There were ten turkeys in his backyard!

When I saw his 22-2 I was stoked. What a beauty. Great condition, twin Mercs that are always covered. Cool flip-up spotting tower. Full electronics, rigged and ready.

We took that bad boy 20 miles south to Daytona to a place that had private dockage. Beth met us there, we had a terrific dinner overlooking the harbor. Time to go home...Fitz climbed up in the tower and said, "Drive us home!" Man, I was on cloud nine.... it was like getting to run my new rebuild early! She ran SWEET with those Mercs...tracked great, rode great, wow. Thanks for a great experience bro!!

Fitz is a great host and a super person. It has been a real pleasure to get to know him, and Beth. What fine folks!

Thanks Fitz and Skoot!  Hopefully you'll come this way soon. It would be my pleasure to repay your hospitality.

I took on the alfa male role so he was free to explore his hidden softer side without fear of retribution plus having another woman there allowed him to feel comfortable with his expressionism.

I was going to comment on that but then the power blipped and by the time I got back online the thought had left my head.  It shows a little class vs. my redneck upbringing.

JJ, you might need a UPS - but you probably already knew that....

As for the ....

Could this be a staged pictured    Maybe Scott was handing the drink to his better half?  The saga continues....

But the raised pinky needs to be examined nonetheless.

Dam what the hell happened! Fruity drink, im shocked    Must be that Daytona breeze.    When I First meet them, they were drinking Bourbon straight.  Then, the next day when they came to my house to go fish they had fried chicken in one hand and a case a of beer in the other, like real Men.
That photo must be a fluke, or someone with some dam good photoshop skills put that drink in his hand.

Anyway we had a great time. Wish we could have landed or at least caught a few more. To Fitz credit, he fought that fish like a champ and did everything right. that's just tarpon fishing.   Ill tell ya, the tide was sooo strong, it didnt help anything that day. It was ripping,(more than usual) and historically, I've never have much luck with that amount of water moving through.

Im ready to do it again.
Anyone else wanna go try your luck on a tarpon? Let me know!
Scott
