Hi, I'm Colin from Canterbury England UK, yesterday I bought a 22' Cuddy walkaround with a 1987 Johnson GT200 outboard and trailer. The whole thing needs quite a bit of tlc, I am having it delivered to my house tomorrow (while I am at work unfortunately) I'm not entirely sure what I've bought, the Hull Id is SVP 0732M881K -82MDL. I took some basic photos with my iphone so quality isn't blindingly good but I will post them when I get a chance. Maybe you lot can help with identification.
It's great to find such a well supported site for my purchase, I hope to gain some new mates & knowledge.
Colin

Welcome aboard mate,
Sounds like a great rig, cuddys are great all around boats, that was my last boat.  Some of the other crew are more experienced with the HINs, but a brief check on the internet looks like your boat may not be an Aquasport?  http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_ ... spx?id=SVP.  But in any case, will wait to see some pics!  And have a good day!  :salut:

Colin,
You are MORE than welcome here, and we'll be glad to help with whatever questions you may have.  However, I have to agree with Marc, from the HIN, sounds like you have a Sea Chief...

Built in Kirkland, Washington, and anything built out there HAS to be tough!

Colin,
Pics will tell us.  Aquasports have a very distinctive deck, especially the cuddys and walk-arounds.  So, we await...what is it, just after 5 PM over there?  You've got time...

Is this the one?

http://s1121.photobucket.com/albums/l509/Colingardner/

I dare say it looks like one but........
There are two places to look.

In the pic of the helm please look at the USCG plate. In the middle it will state where the hull was manufactured. Aquas of that model era were only made in Hialeah Florida.

In the pic showing the port stern area, you can see a small plastic plaque riveted under the gunnel. If it is an Aqua, it will be listed on the plaque.

Good luck and welcome aboard.  :salut:

Looks like he has an early 80's 200XF to me!  Welcome aboard!   Looks like a PO installed a water separating fuel filter on your boat.  The problem is they installed it where it blocks the folding casting platform down flat on the aft deck.  You should be able to fold it down in front of the motor giving you a flat deck all the way to the transom.

Hey, that's exactly what it is, Aquasport 200XF Walk Around, there's one for sale on Ebay right now, it has to be said though, that that one is in much MUCH better nick than the one i've just bought! but the pictures give me a great idea of what I should strive to achieve.
Thanks for the help at least I now know what i've got!

Hi Colin, welcome aboard  :!:  :!:
The folding piece in the back allows you to make a proper splashwell if you desire.
I have not seen any models of Aquasport that fits all the pieces of the pics that you showed.  The helm is different, the gunnels, the area forward.  Maybe you have a very early model?  We need a profile picture.

Ok thanks, I'll have a look, I think I have a few more on an Ebay ad, I will post the link to it, you might be able to see them direct on the ad.
