Getting closer! This color is MUCH better but I still think I want it lighter and I like the black with it too!
I dont like the center console though...I know about one of those that flipped durng a fishing tournamant in Port St Joe & that scares me a little. How about one more substansial?

Not ALL pink!
Just the light(er) pink on top half maybe black on bottom. Then the rest white. I have color chips for it already. OR maybe pink on top half a stripe of black in the middle and more pink on bottom. IDK I need a CPU program to show me all the different options.
And I think I've decided 'Admiral Amy' sounds better than Captain. ;)

The Fiance did this in her spare time a while ago.  It was a joke color, but I'll see if she wouldn't mind putting a lighter shade of pink on Hawg's boat.   :shock:

Everyone has a preference for a helm.  I like both a Center Console and a Walkaround.  Both have their strong points.  As far as which would be more apt to capsize... I'd think the Walkaround would be more likely to go belly up in a bad situation; mostly because the walkaround is more top heavy and has a deeper deadrise (this is true when comparing WAC Aqua's to 12 degree C/C aquas... not true for all boats) which makes it a little less stable than a flatter bottom boat, like the pink one in the picture.

Capsizing seems to be somewhat of a phoenemenon.  Capsizing is usually caused by a boat taking on too much water / sinking, then flipping over.  Other mysterious causes of capsizing could probably happen to just about any boat.


This is just my opinion though. I admittedly feel pretty safe on a big WAC.

I know at a couple AS gatherings I have had WAY more then the listed number of people in my 230, all hanging out, cooking staying in the shade - must have had 8/9 people in the aft and a couple up front.  Kept a good eye on the level of the boat in the water - she handled it well.

I'd be happy & feel safe with that size. I may have the opportunity for a 92-93 Rinker 260V. I've launched and retrieved it but...it's not pink :(

My 230 is one of the few models that there is a ton of room in the aft - 13 ft from helm to aft, all open.
 
She has more room than any AS model and I've tied up side-by-side to all but the 290 and I'm sure all the added length on the 290 is forward too.  I'm pretty happy with her. Hard to find although I see a couple here in town, of course they don't know what they have  :roll:   She's no skinny water boat though - that's why I keep the 170.  :idea:
