Fish box pumps
« on: May 08, 2011, 09:21:15 AM »
Hello again,
I think I may have made an error in my last attempt at posting, so here goes again, and please ignore
if my last posting worked.
I just launched my new-to-me 215 Explorer. The twin fish boxes have a pump-out that services one box at
a time, so when one is emptied you have to open the bilge hatch and switch over a valve to pump out the
other box.
Is it possible to leave the valve in the mid-way position and pump out both boxes at the same time? Even if
this is slower it might be worth it to not have to open the bilge each time.
Thanks for the advice?
Charlie

Why not change the valve to a tee, thats the way mine is set up on my 275 Explorer. tThe only change I made was to add a check valve to stop water from siphoning back when pump is turned off.
