Gasparilla Gathering

[Necessary Evil]

I hear there is a gathering at the Boca Grande, Gasparilla? Island swing bridge this weekend?

It just so happens that I will be coming through there on Friday late afternoon or early evening. It is a 38 Tiara, named "Necessary Evil." We will be on our way to spend the night at Cabbage Key. Then coming back north though the Gasparilla Island Bridge the next Saturday morning. I'd love to meet some of you if our schedules work out. I'm not sure what time I'll get  there (I'd like to be early, but wives, kids, guests, babysitters will certainly all conspire to make it a late trip through the bridge Friday). I've got a 1976 22-2 that I have not touched yet, but I am dying to chat about restoration options. And, I'd just like to say hello :)

So, I hope someone will be monitoring a VHF? Maybe we could have a beer or two at Cabbage Key?

Sorry I missed y'all. Friday I dragged the bad weather behind me, there was no one on the island when I ran past with a thunderstorm on my tail. Saturday I was hustling to make the Boca Grnde Bridge opening and did not make the time for a drop in. I hope everyone had fun, and I hope to attend in my very own Aqua next time!
