quick question(s)
« on: April 11, 2011, 07:05:59 AM »
Still looking for a project...now waiting on a call back.  Got a lead, but don't can't tell much from the one photo.  Don't have year or model infor except the person says it is "20 feet"....

Questions:
* What is the difference in the early 19'6" hull and the later '70's 19'6"?
* Is the later 20ft. hull the same with just a different design deck cap?
* I really like the flat lines of the pre 1975 hulls and flat deck, has anyone ever removed the raised deck and rebuilt the boat with a custom/flat deck that follows the shear/rub rail lines of the hull?

Thanks in advance for reading for my 5am wonders!
Gotta get to work, but will check periodically...may be a good lead, may be a dud.

1. Higher gunnel / Taller cap and the interior gunnels are not recessed in the later 70's models
2. Basically.  The Cap and finished interior gunnels are the main differences and I think the center console doesn't flip down in the late 70's

This ad is of an early 80's, which should be the same as the later 1976 and beyond - 19-6's .  You can notice the taller cap (from rub-rail about 4-5" taller) Its a bit harder to notice the interior gunnels on the 19-6, but you can see it clearly on the 17. (basically same layout)

Thanks!  All my questions were for naught this time....seller disappeared, ad cancelled, won't return calls.

Getting ready to make another cast.....more than one fish in the sea.
