Wow - South of Placida?  Didn't realize you lived so far south - so it really was a haul to come up to LongBoat Key 2 gatherings ago.
If I put in at Venice it's 30 miles to the island.
You need a truck....

Its about a 3 beer ride.  Six beers, if you dont care about chipping your teeth.

Glock Diver is maybe a little further, depending on where he launches his boat.

You know with that negative tide, the tarpon will be thick in the pass and beaches!!!!

Doc sounds like a nice cruze except for the gas part.

I hope you're right about the tarpon.  Since moving down here, I've yet to watch tarpon action, and I hear it can be pretty damn exciting!

DOC- will your voyage take you through Matlacha Pass?  Or you taking Pine Island Sound?

Mike Friday i was drifting the flats and they where everywhere.

Have you decided if your camping out yet ?

I'd like to camp on the larger island, probably Sat night.  But not 100% sure yet.  You guys camping on the boat that evening?

The plan for me is camping on the boat Fri and Sat night,you could always stay on your boat,back when i had a cc i would put a small two man tent on the front deck and sleep in that, or Rick and Dave have tons of deck space their boats for an air mattress,and i'm sure they wouldn't mind.

1 week to go for me,i plan on being down their this time next friday,see if i can catch a fresh fish dinner
