Well I owe Gran big time. On his advice, I called a shop in N. Ft Myers, http://www.cuttingedgeboattops.com , and got a quote of $325, with no install!  Now that's more like it!     Thanks Scott!

Ok Mike, your turn to break trail.... can't wait to see it, since our dimensions should be the same, it would be easy to re-produce?

I would sure think so. I know this guy ships all over, and ships via Greyhound (who knew?) for just $40.

This weekend I'll get detailed and specific dimensions, which will require me to look inside the transom hatches, to make sure I have clear space for thru/bolting.

Did you decide to go with it as pictured, or did you get the seat cushion on the bottom too?

Not bad Gran!

I will probably just go as pictured, as I don't know how a bottom cushion would look.  Actually I'm trying to get ahold of that Cobia owner to see how he likes HIS transom backrest, to see if its comfortable, etc.  And I gotta scrape up some cash.  My $200 gas bill last weekend put a hurtin' on the wallet! (of course I did retrieve about $200 worth of anchors, shackles, and chain... So maybe I'll convince myself it was a wash!)

These are made for attaching to a "cruisin cooler". Maybe attach each one to a rod holder mount.
