Width of Gas Tank ??

Hi Guys
I have a 1986 Osprey 20', and am about to install a 36" wide leaning post. Because this is mounted to the deck over the gas tank, i want to be sure that I have clearance before drilling.
Could you tell me what the width of the 45 gallon gas tank is on that model?

Not sure about the Osprey but the fuel tank in my 20 XF is 24" wide.   Do you have a pie plate cover in your coffin cover?  If so open that up and you can see how much clearance you have between the deck and the top of the tank.
