Shiny new trailer

Well... I can mark this one off my list of "Winter Projects"!
Picked it up on Friday over in Pompano Beach.  They built it to my specs/measurements in about 5 days.  

You can see in the 2nd picture, I did a little customization.  I keep a spray bottle of Salt Off solution onhand, to spray down my brakes after I dunk her.  I don't know how effective it will be to prevent rust, but I figure it can't hurt, and have heard from others that this can help lengthen the lift of trailer brakes. Also mounted an aluminum toolbox to the tongue.  Paid about $80 for the toolbox at Northern Tool.

And that spare tire is actually the spare from my OLD trailer, and man was that wheel nasty!  It had originally been painted white, but had started to rust.  So, I sprayed the wheel with a primer and then spray paint (the Rustoleum "hammered" paint).  We'll see how it holds up, but I just couldn't put that ugly spare on the new trailer without a little cleaning up!

Sweet.
I assume that's an aluminum trailer?  Just a tip.  My son waxes his trailer with car wax once a year and after four years it still looks new instead of dull gray and spotty.

I've heard of this "salt-away" but I've never seen it in use.  Where do you get this stuff?  How much $$$??

I've heard of this "salt-away" but I've never seen it in use.  Where do you get this stuff?  How much $$$??

Now I just buy the gallon container of Salt Off concentrate, and mix it with water in my pump sprayer.  I think a gallon at Bass Pro costs around $25.
