Pete thanks, and funny you should mention that :thumright:

As a tribute to her lineage...she will be run in Florida salt before she leaves

Well, actually, we had a bit of a different plan, but now that Scotty's gonna run her in the gulf...

When we talked this aft, I told Scott, hey, since you're leaving the boat AND the truck here, when I finish, I'll drive her up to Wilmington, then I'll catch a hop-skip-and-a-jump flight back to Tampa.  Save him a trip back and a drive home.

Buuuutttt.....if he want's to splash her in the gulf, well, as Nando knows, it's an easy drive, 15 to 20 minutes to the Bayport ramp.  Through some ACTUAL pretty gulf coast seaside, including marsh.  For those of you in the Tampa/St. Pete area who scallop up here, you know what I mean.  I would be personally honored to go on the shake-down/sea-trial cruise on Miss Delmarva. :salut:

So that's the plan, that's where we sit.  I'm busy, but I have the time and the flexibility of schedule to allow Miss D in and to devote my full attention to her.  There are some things that Scott wants to do that we'll go over, sometimes when I actually get to climb aboard a boat, there may be a better way, an easier way, or his idea may be just what the doctor ordered.  Things we'll find out when we both go over her.

So, needless to say, I'm excited!  I should probably get started putting together a parts list for him so he can start spending some.....MORE money!!!

Man that would be downright cool.  Bayport is a nice area that isn't paved over with condos and such.  There is some skinny water on the way out but she will thrive on that!

Awesome!

Bob, you graciously offered to run her back up here. I really appreciate it, but I'm also thinking of you. Any way we slice it, you'd be away from Maggie for at least two days. Maybe three days.

How about I fly down, we have the christening...then if you choose, you ride back with me, and I'll fly you home :thumright:

That could be cool, you've always wanted to come this way.

Bottom line..we have a great plan :thumright:

Mentioned to Bob this afternoon...I'm thinking chicken. Fried chicken. And lots of lights. Mood lights. Barely White on the stereo. 1200 watts. Barely be croonin'. Girls LOVE Barely.

Fishfinder? GPS?

Chicken and Barry White

Wow, Scott, sounds like a great plan!  If you guys don't mind...if you are having a little get together...can I perhaps crash it?  I'd like to meet some of the guys from the forum, and I'd sure love to get a closer look at that boat!

Craig,
Down 19, about 10 miles past the 98 corner, to Hexam road.  Left on Hexam, it makes a sharp 90 going south, then another couple miles to Sun Rd., the last road on the right before the stoplight at Hernando Central HS.  13098, on the S side, stop in any time...even before Miss D gets here, would love to meet you!  Talk about boat chit and power plants and that sort of thing...

Scott and I will get this thing done... :thumleft:  :thumleft:  :thumleft:

That is the deal right there.  We are always here to help, Craig, include yourself there.  We're an odd bunch here.  Go figure, in this world that we live in these days, what, with all the crazy chit going on and antagonism around what seems like every corner...

A little "corner" we can call our own...

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Looks like I was close by you yesterday, Bob.  Both of my boys had soccer games at Anderson Snow park, and then the wife wanted to go shopping at some of the places there on 50.  And then, of course, the obligatory stop at Hooters on 19 before the trek home :thumleft:.  So I think I passed within a mile or so of your home!

I'll plan on a visit in the near future - I'll call you before hand to set it up.

Thanks again!
