Guys thanks. Gary thanks for your post on the other thread. Glad you and your family are okay.

Although diminished in terms of heavy red.....this front ain't no joke.

Draw a straight line from west of Tampa thru Charlottesville, Virginia...then northward...pretty darn strong.

Gary, just looked at the radar again, seems the oranges and reds are petering out getting closer to shore.  Probably just be a sprinkle somewhere around midnight, we won't even notice it.  Pretty typical on all but the meanest fronts down here in the winter time...

Nando, Bruce, Aaron, remember that one last year after we went fishing?  THAT...was a front!!

Yooooooo brother, that front is coming through tonight, you'll be fine for the tip down.  The winds were 20-25mph out the south today.  Tomorrow should be 20mph out of the N/NW.   After that (Friday) your looking at 5-10mph out of the north and perfect florida weather, mid to lower 70's.  "Pura Vida Brah" (Pure Life)

Yea Man looking forward to seeing you soon.

Might I say something here, in all seriousness...

When Miss Delmarva (love that name!) gets here, she will be in my hands to be rigged, taken care of, watched over, in short, to be treated just like all my customers boats.  For Scott IS a paying customer, and I treat them all the same...with the utmost of respect, and to do my best to take care of their every wishes.  Things obviously are a bit different in Scott's case, in that he is a dear friend of mine...so even FURTHER means will be taken to ensure that he is one happy camper when his boat is complete and ready for seatrial.

Granted Scott will not be back down to pick her up until the time he so chooses, sometime in the late March timeframe.  Barring some unusual circumstances on his part that might delay finishing her up, she'll be ready to go long before that.  IF...and I say IF he would like her seatrialed before his arrival, that is up to him.  We have some tremendous Captains that would be glad to put her through her paces, expediently yet carefully, such that when he does get down here, she is absolutely ready to ply the Carolina waters...

But all that being said and done, it is entirely up to Scott to make those decisions.  From what Lewis tells me, the pics we have seen of Miss D don't do her justice, she is THAT gorgeous!

Scott is leaving his whole rig down here, truck and all.  The truck will get excersized a bit, but that's about the extent of what I plan to do.  Tote Maggie around in it a bit, nothing more.  That is what he has asked me to do.

Yeah, I may seem like I'm putting a bit of a damper on things, but, from a business standpoint, just look at it as the little "fine print" that all businesses put into their daily operations.  Just a little "caveat" that at times is unfortunately necessary...

Alright Nando, Bruce, what'll you think she'll do, WOT?  Might need Aaron, he's the speed demon!!!

Hard to say what twin 75 Mercs will push her at.  Of course she has to be propped right.  I'm guessing she will go in the low 40's or so.  A nice clean purdy bottom on her will help too.

I can tell you after seeing her apart a year ago I could see the quality of the work that was going into her.  I'm sure she is a stunning boat in person.  I can't wait to get a look at her.  I may have to play hookie from work next week!

Thanks,

I don't know where to start, but I'll try.

New members...and especially new active participants...you are the new growth, the continuing life of our club. You know who you are...and we're glad that you're here!

This dream...this culmination...... Wow. What an adventure. This is the second hull. The first 22-2 was delivered as a wreck. That riches to rags thread from three years back is documented here.

Now is the last chapter. I have chosen to forgo local promises, and dance with who brung ya. Swing with who swung ya. Our Classic Aquasport brothers.

Have utmost confidence that Miss D will be rigged right. Farley is the MAN, and man....wish we had been born brothers. Bob's work speaks volumes, it is here for all to see. And again...what a friend.

A boy from Carolina, leaving Carolina boatbuilders to pull to Florida?  Tackling I-95 at 5 AM Friday morning to pull 700 miles? Had to forget the locals...forget the "names" ... forget the broken promises.

Weighed it all out. In the end it was easy.

Dance with who brung ya.

Thanks to everyone here :thumright:
